Sixty Seconds
with Brian Anderson
What’s your favorite place in San Francisco?
Mission Bar.
Who do you admire most in the world?
John Stewart. He should be the President of the United States.
If you could live one day over?
I guess my birth. It’d be pretty cool to be able to remember that.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Pabst Blue Ribbon.
What do you miss about Groton, Connecticut?
The skatepark.
When you worked as a cook, what was the best meal you prepared?
Nothing special, maybe French onion soup.
If Sweatpants (Brian’s band with Brad Staba) could have any guest vocalist?
Steve Perry from Journey.
Describe your worst demo nightmare.
I tend to block ’em out at the end of the day with some beer. Surprise demos in Japan because those always suck. Like, you’re traveling and the guy says, “Oh, we’re just gonna stop by the skateshop real quick. Oh, do you have your board because we’re doing a demo on the roof.” It’ll be rubber and you can’t even ollie.
Shart 1?
That’s my new graffiti tag, too, Shart 1.
What needs to leave skateboarding as fast as possible?
Where do I f**king start? Tight pants and single tricks.
