After seeing Aaron's part in the first Zero video I was like, "We got to get him on Vans." So I just called him up. He was gnarly in that video, but he also did his hot little fingerflips and stuff like that. He was just rad, you know. He stood out. So we're buddies now. I found out that he was from Sacto and there has always been some weird San Jose, Sacto connection. A lot of Sacto guys move here and vice versa. He gets on a skateboard and he's just crazy, but he's a pretty mellow guy actually. He can get along with anyone. His girlfriend and my girlfriend are good friends. He's just kind of a dirtbag and it's great. He likes to roll in the dirt. I think he likes falling on his skateboard more than he actually likes landing a trick. If he goes out all day and he just eats shit and comes home looking like a big ball of mud, he's all stoked. He's down to skate everything. His motto is, "All will and no skill." He'll go to the gap and we'll be like, "Are you going to do it Aaron?" And he'll be like, "I don't know, but here we go." He'll just eat shit. He'll just throw himself down anything.

He likes to torque. That's what he calls stressing, "torque." When he can't pull a trick he talks shit to himself. It's pretty hot. I love it. We push each other. We usually call each other out when we're skating. The other day I was trying to do this trick, and every time I didn't pull it he'd call me pussy and all this shit. It's all about fun with us. He's got a crooked-ass nose. I think he broke it or something. It's beautiful.
