Girl Park Host A.Skate Foundation Clinic
Words & Photos: Jaime Owens
After a long weekend of dealing with the industry side of skateboarding during tradeshows at Agenda and Crossroads, it was great to cap off the weekend with getting back to the basics of skateboarding; watching children smile from the simple act of riding a skateboard. Yesterday, Skateboarder Magazine helped out our friends Crys Worley and Peter Karvonen (Faith Skate Supply Shop) at the A.Skate Foundation this past weekend with another clinic helping children with autism learn how to skateboard at the Girl park. It never gets old, and is always great seeing familiar faces helping out the cause. It’s especially great seeing new faces join the fun. Thanks to everybody that came out and helped make the day happen. And special thanks to Rick Howard and Jason Callaway for letting us use the Girl park.

Peter works his butt off for hours on end at every clinic.
Chad Bartie showed up as always.
Buzzy Sullivan and Tim Ward from Woodward West came down to help and offer up their camp for future clinics.
My buddy Matt Price from The Skateboard Mag came out for the first time.
Marty Murawski came back for a second time and we were psyched.
Thanks again to everyone. See you next time.
