From the Brooklyn Public Library’s siteMr. Stewart will tell the story of his of filming career, beginning with small local videos featuring skateboarders form his hometown of Tampa, Florida all the way to shooting skateboarding in India and Egypt with talent from around the world. Mr. Stewart discusses the pitfalls and challenges of making guerrilla-style independent films for a living and how technology and filmmaking has changed in the past 15 years. Program includes the showing of his latest video Static III.Followed with a Q and A.

If you haven’t seen any of Josh’s Static videos, do yourself a favor and go down to your local shop and pick up a copy of Static III. If they don’t have it, tell them they’re blowing it and demand they order a shitload of them so they’re stocked up for the ages.
