There is nothing better than getting the call to go to Vegas. This is true, but getting the call to go to Vegas to cover a skateboarding press conference with all the heavy hitters? That’s what I’m talking about!

The Maloof Money Cup is being called “The premiere showcase for professional skateboarding in 2008,” not to mention the largest prize purse in the history of pro skateboarding with over $450,000 in prize money

Both Joe and Gavin Maloof were on hand for the press conference to inform the public about the cup and their plans to organize a catastrophic health insurance organization for skaters that get catastrophically hurt. Check the link for all the info. maloof money cup.

I knew ahead of time that this was going to be a 24 hour whirlwind Vegas tour, so I was ready, brought just the necessities and expected to see my room for 3 to 4 hours max and that’s exactly how it went down. From the moment I stepped foot into the Palms I was getting the VIP treatment and I’m sure everybody in attendance would agree.
