I think it was the last project I did for Slap Magazine. A Krooked Skateboards tour through France and Spain. The only people on the team at the time were Gonz, Dan Drehobl, Bobby Worrest, and Van Wastell. It was a fun crew and despite some logistical setbacks the trip was pretty good.
Call it "On the road angst" Van and Bobby were a little drunk in the hotel one night and decided to have a 'black eye contest'. Basically they just punched each other in the face repeatedly and tried not to get mad about it. The next day they both had minor shiners.
Bobby Worrest, switch heel. Barcelona.
Van Wastell, Ollie. Barcelona.
This was an amazing moment. Gonz bought us all rounds at this target practice place in Paris. All the matchsticks and mini targets were what you were supposed to shoot at to win prizes of stuffed animals. Gonz took aim at the targets but then started unloading on the stuffed animals. The attendant started freaking out and Gonz just said, "What? We're not supposed to shoot the animals?"
Gonz explaining why he threw a cup of cigarette water...I'm still not sure what really happened here.
