RED BULL BATTLESHIP DOCKS IN WILMINGTON, NC
SURVIVE OR BE SUNK IN SKATEBOARDING COMPETITION
WHAT: The USS North Carolina Battleship transforms into a skatepark as Red Bull Battleship
comes aboard the historical World War II vessel on December 13, 2008. In an entirely new
tournament-style skate competition format, eight teams of skaters will vie for battleship
supremacy while trying to avoid being sunk.
WHO: Teams from eight regional skate shops will begin by competing head-to-head and will select
two of their three riders to skate in a judged three-minute jam. The combined judged score
total for the riders of each team will determine which rosters advance within the
