is good, I like new balance and now have a new models for skate is amazing.

I was wondering when this day would come. Now all of the big name athletic companies can compete for yet another sport. The shoes definitely retain the style and value that NB is know for. Can’t wait to pick a pair up and see what they can do.

  • Burk Uzzle

instant failure, worst design, probably some people without soul but alot of sports-entusiasm on the team…makes good for a 2 year run with the whole team getting kicked of in the end. They could probably collaborate with Puma on that one.

  • Kyler Hale

    These look soooo comfy!!!

  • big E

Very simply I hope nb brings big and wide size shoes to the game. None of the oh skate companies do. Please tell me there’s a 14 wide pls.

  • Rob

I love The S. Janoski model! oups! the Brighton 344….

Jamie with a Fallen Shirt on the 2nd picture….

  • Burk

People are hating hard on these, but I like them. It’s just like Nike, Adidas and Converse starting a skate line, and those companies have some of the best shoes out. I don’t see why everyone is hating on them if they haven’t tried them.

  • Olivia Not So Wilde

Where are runners? I want skatable runners!

  • ron

looks like they just ripped off
nike & Emerica with their designs

  • nate

if only the shoes they made always looked like this..

  • AnthonyG

the shoes look good especially the quincy and stratford i might not mind even picking up a pair soon and with this under JTs wing NB# nailed it in my opinion i just hope they hook up some much needed skaters for the team. Hope they pick up guys like Surrey, Szafranski, Abdias, and i can even see someone from Fallen like Billy Marks headed over there and ME! Just kiddin

  • Skatebastiano

I can’t wait to see them in France. I just hope “groupe royer” will not distribute them !

  • CB

This is for Burk Uzzle “a lot” is two words not one.
The Brighton 344 looks good depends how bulky they are though.

  • k

Shouldn’t of bite the Janoskis, but at the same time Janoskis bit Sperry, Hilfigure and Nautica boat shoes…. I hope that NB is manufacturing them and distro thru blackbox, cause the soles of NB runners are legit and comfortable, so if they could translate that to a skateshoe with out BITING other brands sillouettes, they might be OK.

but don’t do what CONS did to Pappalardo and pimp skateboarding and a respected pro.

  • sk8totem

Nike, Adidas, converse and now New Balance….would they support skaters outside the United States, specially in Venezuela where skateboarding is growing huge and brand repesentatives do little….we all should try them, they look great….will see…

  • Mirko

    These shoes suck!!!!!!

  • Burk Uzzle

I can’t believe that there is nobody bragging about New Balance taking a place in the skateshoe-market and that it probably won’t be Nike’s but more likely one of skateboardings core brands. That’s just so fucking sad. Like even those creepy dudes at the slap forum are like “those look kinda sick bro”. Nobodys like “I’m gonna boycott that because its taking out my favorite company with their corporate bullshit”. Fuck that. Fuck Nike. Fuck Adidas. I wouldn’t wear that shit even if I would get it thrown at me.

  • Tom Hoffman

    Do these come in 4E?

  • buy skateshoes!

fo nike, fo NB, fo all sport brands! then dont cry when real skatebrand go out of business like eS, dvs, and probarly emerica in near future.

  • John Wood

well they look good, but i don’t think shops will be to eager to pick them up. it won’t be long until rebok and saucony try to get in on the deal. I bet NB is the last “big” company to get into the business. Others will try, but eventually we will get tired of “trying new things”

  • NJ used to Sk8 ALL DAY

I like NB shoes. They still make shoes in the US. And for tall guys (like myself and big E) they make wider shoes than Nike and Adidas, so they are bringing a new platform to the table. PJ is the best pick for the team as this is an old NE brand. Maybe he can convince them to have an all US made line and teach skaters in Boston to sew!

  • Thayne

No sole shot of the shoe? I’d love to see a mechanical test of the abrasion resistance of all skate shoes being a longboarder. eS’s have the longest lasting soles I’ve found yet. I’d buy them if they are as comfortable as the other NB shoes & the soles don’t wear like vans.

  • srfghgsfg

skateboarding is getting lame as fuck…i bet crocs is gonna enter the skate industry next

  • MadSpaniard

Why would you release a skate shoe at a BASEBALL Stadium? Fucking lame.
Support your local companies! Keep skateboarding with skaters and out of the hands of corporate asshole looking to make a quick buck.

  • Don’t Do It

    What’s up with PJ’s honker!?

  • Jack James

This is a good article about big companeis entering the skate shoe market. The bottom line is the dollar even though this won’t sit well with many skaters.

  • Trevor McCane

    This is nice.
The shoes look very good en clean and some people on this page don’t see that.

  • Jose F.

I don’t know whats the big complain about NB coming into the skateboarding industry. I feel that it is good because it is exposing skateboarding more isn’t that what skaters wanted before to gain more exposure. I think the design is neat i will skate them for sure to try them out. P.S i am loving the (Stratford 479) especiall the black with gray.

  • bondo

    made in USA! nuff said!

  • Terd Ferguson

    Support Local you fucking idiots!

Nike blows the hardest because they basically set the stage to get everything made oversees and for the cheapest possible rate possible. Big name companies have no consistency and could give 2 shits about your backyard.

When you buy something Made In The USA, not only are you obviously supporting local but you are voting to say, “we can make our own products within the USA”. You are voting for jobs, for our economy and for your neighbors.

Until I skate them and they suck, my vote is for NB all the way! AMERICANFUCKINGMADE!
