Skateboarding in Afghanistan. When skateboarding hits CNN, it catches your attention. And this time its not a blurb about Tony Hawk doing a 900. In a part of a world that no non military westerner wants to touch with a 100 mile pole, Australian Oliver Percovich has relocated there and founded Skateistan, a foundation to help poor children in war torn Afghanistan cope with their tough lives. Watch the video… he’s literally fighting terrorism with skateboarding…
