DC RETURNS AS SPONSOR OF STREET LEAGUE 2012

Law officers are treiand by POST, the California department for Police Officer Standards and Training. POST trains repeatedly on procedures to be used before lethal force can be used. ALL officers are warned, over and over again that when you pull your duty weapon your life may be changed and if you use it, in all probably, your life will be destroyed unless you can prove, beyond any doubt that you have every reason to believe that a life, yours or someone else’s, was in extreme jeopardy. No laws officer has to take any chance for his, or any else’s life. All people must obey law officers commands. This is not a game they are playing, this is how law enforcement must act. And for us, who sit in our easy chair and think about a situation for hours while a law officer has only split seconds, to second guess the officer, police department, District Attorney and Grand Jury does not make any sence.This officer knew that he would be put under a magnifying glass and he had better not use lethal force unless life was in imminent danger. He did what he was treiand for, as I would have done, and as much as I feel for the family, it is unfortunate that their son took the road that he did.I suggest that if the family wants to make something good out of this tragedy, they might set up a program to address High School children about the danger of drugs, and especially of not obeying Peace Officers when commanded to do something.
