    I am 6’0 and only about 165 pounds all muslce. But my friend, who is 6’4 and over 200lbs. says I am simply too small for all the checking involved in an adult hockey league. I am a very fast and balanced skater (skating since age 8): and can very easily perform things like hockey stops, jumps, and skating backwards but still wonder how much he’s right and how much it matters: indeed it seems most pro hockey players seem to be 230+ pounds. What should I do to best compensate? Take weight gainer and work out more, just work more on skating and stick handling, something else entirely? Perhaps there’s an online guide for small people in adult hockey leagues (LOL). Anyhow I would greatly appreciate your help.
