Your remarks are pontet in the face of the dangerous dialouge perpetrated by those who intend to control the argument by seeding the situation with doubts by first asking why scientists are not in full agreement on climate change.I produced the first :30 independant program on solar energy to be shown on PBS and, in the five years it took to get it done accurately, met with David Prowitt, DC based producer whose multi-part series, The Weather Machine, was backed by the BBC and presented strong indications of human intervention on climate almost 40 years ago, a time when scientists were still distanced from the politics that now dominate this movement and choke energy that should be devoted to actual implementation of effective goals.Having been at this awhile, my concerns fall into dispair at wondering whether those in control of the business machines of the world have not in fact written off Planet Earth, having long ago agreed that collapse such as an impending melt of the permafrost might well release enough methane to bring the weather machine to a halt within the next few years.Down here in New Orleans last summer, we watched in a state of helplessness as BPs second effort to cap the outrush of crude failed due to a freezing formation of methane hydrates in the device deep down in the colder depths of the Gulf.The situation has long called for more than argument.Best to you in all you do,Rob WoldNew OrleansAs
