Suicidal Tendencies Help Vans & DQM Celebrate NYC’s “The General”
Vans and DQM followed up Thursday’s big opening day and private event at the new Vans DQM General store in NYC with a larger party for the community on Friday, September 16 at the House of Vans in Brooklyn featuring food, drink and a performance by Suicidal Tendencies. Bringing ST out from Venice capped off a special week that saw the Vans & DQM crews put in long hours in final prep for business. Mike Muir and company didn’t disappoint playing for nearly 90 minutes and inviting the moshers up on stage to close out the set.

Check out photographer Bryan Derballa’s images that capture the night’s energy.

Special thanks to Brooklyn Brewery and Vita Coco for drinks and the amazing food from the Korilla BBQ truck and the LES’ Meatball Shop.
Located at 93 Grand, the Vans DQM General is Vans’ first store in Manhattan and the co-branded project with local skate and streetwear purveyor DQM is the first of a kind in the United States for Vans. Expect to find the newest cut & sew and accessories from DQM, the latest from Vans across several lines including our Classics, California, Surf, OTW, Skate and Vault collections and a nice selection of boards, wheels and trucks – all in a setting that beautifully nods to SOHO’s unique heritage and personality.
