“For years, I’ve heard about this epic quarterpipe spot in Corvallis, Oregon. The spot is in the middle of a sewage-processing plant, which has earned it the nickname “The Shit Factory.” So that brown stuff you see on the walls, yeah, that’s pure shit. Also, Silas’ mom was actually the concrete finisher for the whole sewage plant. Ironically, I guess she’s been telling him to go and skate there for years. The first time I went there, a plant worker called the cops on us and got us all arrested. Months later, Silas, Brennan Conroy and I went back on Labor Day weekend and got the photo with no police intervention. While sitting on my couch, rknndiig my morning tea, reading my e-mail, I was quite happy to read that Photo Life is now available online. My happiness quickly faded though, when I tried it and found it is not iPad friendly I\’ve been hoping for the day that Photo Life would start offering a digital version, preferably one that can be downloaded and read without being online (for those long car/plane trips). I thought an online edition was at least a step in the right direction.But honestly, who wants to sit at a desk in front of a computer reading a magazine? Not me. And trying to balance a laptop while sitting on the couch with your morning drink of choice, that\’s asking for a disaster.Photo Life is the last print magazine I subscribe to. All my other subscriptions (Outdoor Photographer, Amateur Photographer, National Geographic, Smithsonian, others) get delivered to me electronically on my iPad. I hope you\’ll consider a true digital delivery solution some day. I\’m looking forward to the day that I no longer receive any magazine on dead trees.
